*There should be a gap of at least 2 months between two visits to India on a Tourist Visa. For Tourist Visa holders who wish to visit India within 2 months of their last visit, a letter is needed to support two points 1)The letter must highlight the urgency of the visit and the purpose of the visit must be for recreation/sightseeing, casual visit to meet friends and relatives/others (to be specified). 2)They may not be engaged in Business Activities/Employment or pursuing studies/research, etc.. In such cases, registration would be required within 14 days of arrival.

Additional requirements for applicants of
Indian Origin who are applying for a visa for the FIRST time:
Submit their Indian passport and a completed
Renunciation Visa Form.

Afghan or Pakistan origin:
A copy of their cancelled Afghan/ Pakistani passport OR
A notarized letter stating that they are now US/UK(etc.) citizens and would like the visa to be issued in their current passport.
